Sea views: Every morning, I woke up to the most breathtaking sea views from the terrace. It was like having my very own private window to the wonders of the Tasman Sea. Simply mesmerizing!
Insect screens: A minor inconvenience was the lack of lockable insect screens on the full-length bedroom windows. It would have been great to have the option of keeping the window open overnight without worrying about pesky insects finding their way in.

The lodge at Tasman Sea Retreat was absolutely breathtaking! We had a terrace with stunning sea views that took our breath away every morning. The seating area in our room was so cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring Punakaiki. We loved having a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and oven. It was so convenient for preparing our own meals and saved us a lot of money. The private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries was clean and had everything we needed. One of the highlights was definitely the spa bath in our apartment. It was like having a personal oasis right in our room.
Personally, I found the stovetop in the apartment a bit tricky to use. But hey, maybe I just need a little more practice!

The hosts at this place were absolutely amazing! They greeted us with champagne and even invited us to their restaurant in town. the location was truly breathtaking, with incredible views of the sea and the chance to watch stunning sunsets from our bed. It was such a unique experience and one of the best I've ever had!
One minor inconvenience was that one of our rooms wasn't ready when we arrived. However, the host quickly resolved the issue and even gave us a bottle of local wine and sweets as an apology.
